My husband got a grade 3 knee cartilage injury. We have approached Dr. Rahul for the same. Right from his accurate diagnosis, to treatment, suggestions on physiotherapy, the time for consultation provided by him were all phenomenal. Moreover his availability to answer any of our doubts at any point of time is greatly commendable. His humble attitude towards his patients is highly appreciated. Within 3 months my husband was feeling a lot better and could resume the daily chores of life which he was not otherwise able to do because of his injury.

Robotic knee Replacement is not only a procedure carried out with the help of a digital assistant but is a complete change of the concept of Knee Replacement. Previously all knee replacements were supposed to be aligned in perfect mechanical alignment axis. This used to not take into consideration the normal anatomical position of the knee. Many patients did well with MA (mechanically aligned) knees but some 15-20% would still complain about ‘not so normal knee feeling”.

Robotic knee Replacement works mostly on “kinematic alignment concept” which places the knee in the same predecease condition with improved accuracy of the implant position and improving the functional outcome of the patient. This technique leads to more normal knee feeling after surgery and hence improves the overall satisfaction rate of the patient.

Understanding the details requires a good knowledge of the basics of knee kinematics and a good hands on training with cadaver and surgical Patients. With the world moving towards improving patient satisfaction scores this is the step in the right direction .

Sportsorthodubai had the privilege to get this training and to help the healthcare facility to set up this equipment. So moving forward this precise technology will be available to all patients at no extra cost. So requesting all patients needing Joint Replacements to contact Sportsorthodubai for about this facility.
